We have just expanded further the range and number of easels we have available for hire. The new Model3 easel is based on the design of our original easels, but with these additional features:
- slightly smaller footprint – 600mm wide (vs 660mm original easel)
- wider top of the A-frame – this allows the shelf to move to the top position without needing to remove the shelf knobs.
- swing rod (from back leg to A-frame) is hinged under the centre rail – this means the locking nut goes on the back leg and is not seen from the front of the easel.
- and of course – newness.
The slightly narrower position of the A-frame legs means it is easier to fit into the back seat of a car (e.g. our car). So it is easier for transporting the easels to and from the event.
When used in a display, with the art works mounted on the new Model3 easels as well as our original easels, there will not be much to tell them apart. They will still have the same sturdy functionality, the same timber finish look, and the same distinctive mast (as one customer called it, “the sticky uppy bit”).

So all in all it is very similar to the original standard easel, but with a number of small improvements.
